Funding

The Princess Margaret Hospital Cell Therapy Program is supported by a variety of funding sources, including government research grants, industry partnerships and charitable donations. While peer-reviewed grants through such agencies as the Ontario Institute for Cancer Research, are an important source of funding for the program, they are insufficient to cover the high costs associated with the development and implementation of clinical cell therapy studies. Fundraising from other sources is therefore essential in order to maintain and expand the Program and enable it to become one of the best in the world.

Working together with the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation, the program has benefited from many charitable donations which have supported important translational and clinical research studies.
