Karen Chang – Projects Officer

After completing her Masters of Applied Science degree under the supervision of Dr. Peter Zandstra, Karen went on to work as a project manager for the Canadian Stem Cell Network before joining the Cell Therapy Program at Princess Margaret Hospital. As the program's Projects Officer, she is working to develop and implement cell therapy-based clinical trials.

Mileidys Alvarez – Research Technician

Mileidys obtained her Bachelor's in Biology Sciences from the University of Havana, with a major in Microbiology. A research technician with the Cell Therapy Program, she works in the cGMP-level Philip S. Orsino Cell Therapy Facility to produce the cell-based therapies that are delivered to patients for various clinical trials.

Tara Seshadri - Clinical Fellow

Dr. Seshadri obtained her medical degree at Flinders University South Australia and completed Haematology training at Princess Margaret in 2008. She is currently a Haematolgoy Fellow in the Cell therapy Program and the lymphoma/autologous transplant unit, under the supervision of Dr Armand Keating. She is primarily involved in patient care for the NK-92 clinical cell therapy study, as well as research in lymphoma and autologous transplant.

Jan McCrae – Clinical Coordinator

Jan has been a clinical coordinator at PMH for a number of years, and in that time has been involved in a wide variety of oncology studies, primarily in the hematology area. She is currently the clinical coordinator for the NK-92 clinical study and works on several other phase 1, 2 and 3 leukemia trials.

Marta Was – Administrative Coordinator

Marta has recently joined the Cell Therapy as Administrative Coordinator, a position she finds both challenging and rewarding. She has previous experience with the Cancer Registry and Clinical Trials Support Unit at University Health Network.
